So we give you enough time to learn more about the person behind the music. As we know, the scene has been dominated from male artists as long as we can remember. But there are quite a lot of really great female artists that we would like to present to you in the future.

This time Leah Floyeurs will be the fourth female artist on the show.

I chatted with Leah Floyeurs over the weekend about what makes her tick. The London based musician which was raised and born in Australia was actually trying to start a career as a journalist In 1993 she moved from Australia to the UK and worked in a recordstore and as a pianist.

But somehow in 1993 a party has changed the course of her plan and she never moved back to her hometown Brisbane / Australis. In 1996 / 97 she started playing records in London and after a short period of time , also in several countries far outside the UK.

In 2011 she finally quit her full-time job and put her focus on the music.She’s been inspired by artists like Marc Forshaw, John Heckle ,Heiroglyphic Being,Shackleton,Eduardo de la Calle, Fred P, Franklin de Costa and Grimes In the same year she launched her own radioshow called “Leah with sound” at Timeline Music for the past 5 years.

Leah is a very open minded artist with a wide range of genre. She is a resident on the well known Freerotation festival at Hay-on-Wyein in the UK. And also a resident at the club 50 arc in London. In cooperation with DJ Alison Marks, she had already released under the name “Wallflower! on the Italian label Rebirth Records and has already been remixed by Larry Heard. We welcome Leah to the Decisive family.
