He was raised in Rockford, Illinois with his seven brothers and sisters. When he was 6-years-old, Tom’s baby brother Daniel Patrick died suddenly of an undiagnosed heart defect. Tom was a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1999, following the death of his wife. He writes a monthly column for CARING magazine, edits a Forum for widows and widowers at the website called Open to Hope, manages his own website ~ www.TomZuba.com ~ and posts daily on his interactive Facebook page.
