When David calls out the giant and tunes out the noise from his brother, he is then confronted by Saul as a person who does not have enough of what it takes to beat Goliath, but David points to his experience in tough situations, and how those situations have made him stronger and gave him confidence that God is with him in the struggle. We all have experiences that can help us face our giants. Whenever we look toward our giant or giants, we have to trust that our past experiences have helped us to mature into a stronger and more resilient person. And to trust that God has been and will be there with us in the future as giants come our way.
