Professor Kornhauser is Alfred B. Engelberg Professor of Law at the New York University School of Law. He is well known for his work in law and economics. He has articulated several responses to criticism on the economic analysis of law. We discuss his views on the usefulness of economic models, and the role that legal rules play in economic analyses. The binding nature of law is also discussed.
