In this episode we discuss words and phrases use in George Orwell's 1984 Chapter 1 and the first half of paragraph 2. We do Fluency and listening comprehension exercises using two phrases found in this paragraph. We talk about how to use the phrase "make for a place" and then we practice using it. We also talk about the phrase "it's no use. -ing" and then we practice how to use it using an English speaking and listening comprehension exercise.
