One of the hardest things to do, as a Step-Dad, is developing the skills and the patience to turn all the negative comments into positive fuel.

This is not one of those "easier said than done" type of scenarios because it's very hard in every way you can imagine but can work wonders in your life if you can learn to channel the negative energy to work for you instead of against you.
