This should have been the national bird of the philippines ever since but because of colonization it was decided by the people who then ruled the philippine islads that the maya should be the national bird. But now the philippine eagle has earned the title as the country's national bird which is only fitting.

What is a tarsier?

A tarsier is known to live in trees in only found in the islands of bohol and other islands in the visayan region. It is a small primate

They eat insects and are awake at night they are actually a primate a very small monkey with very large eyes for it's small body, it also have a tail and long hind legs.

It is called locally in cebu and other visayan areas as Mago and Mamag in Tagalog or Filipino.
