Here’s a list of words and sentences to remember for this lesson:

• S’il vous plaît (Please)

• Excusez-moi (Excuse me)

• Un pourboire (a tip)

• Bon courage! (good luck/hang in there!)

• Merci (thank you)

• La carte (the menu)

• Avec ceci ? / Autre chose ?(anything else?)

• non, c’est tout (no, that’s all)

• Le plat du jour (the dish of the day)

• L’entrée (the starter)

• Le plat (the main course)

• Le déssert (desert)

Key verbs to remember:

• Prendre (to take, to have, to consume): je prends, tu prends, il/elle/on prend, nous prenons, vous prenez, ils/elles prennent

• Vouloir (to want): je veux, tu veux, il/elle/on veut, nous voulons, vous voulez, ils/elles veulent
