Jesus speaks an invitation to ask Him to knock and look for Him. As an earthly Father wants only good, the heavenly Father will do you even more good if you ask Him!
The good that Jesus emphasizes is the main focus of the Sermon on the Mount: Christ-likeness and a life that Jesus radiates.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and whoever seeks finds, and to whoever knocks the door will be opened. "(Matthew 7: 7 + 8)
