Listening at its best can represent the gracious movement, exchange and flow that we see in dancing, especially the waltz dance. 

Like a waltz, there can even be sense of beauty and satisfaction which develops in healthy listening experiences. A listening waltz is represented by a beautiful flow and movement of awareness. 

The listener graciously transitions between the one two three movements of being aware of their own story, the story of the speaker and the story they are both in.
