This week on Hope for Every Season we get a lesson on hospice from Hospice Nurse Penny. She teaches us that hospice is not only about the patient but also about educating the family who are surrounding and taking care of the patient. Penny was called to this profession at the age of 40 after experiencing a distant family member go through hospice care. She was so amazed by the hospice nurses compassion and work that it made her want to go into that field. Penny shares different stories and reasonings to have hope, and changing their hope for the end of life process. Pamela and Penny also speak about the topic of a “Good Death,” and what it means to both of them.
