In this episode, we explore what it really means to “learn gratitude God’s way.” Even with a fading voice, the message is clear and strong: gratitude is more than a feeling. It is a spiritual practice that reshapes our hearts and minds, moves our focus from what is wrong to the God who is always faithful, and rewires our thoughts away from negativity and anxiety. Drawing from 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, Psalm 107:1, Colossians 3:17, and Philippians 4:6–7, we are reminded that God’s will for us is to rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances because He is always good.
The teaching walks through practical ways to build a lifestyle of thanksgiving: beginning and ending each day by naming three things we are thankful for, practicing “ABC prayers” that praise God through His names and character, and using gratitude to fight against the negative thought patterns that so easily take over our minds. We also look at the story of the ten lepers in Luke 17 and the one who returned to thank Jesus, inviting us to be the ones who run back to God in worship rather than rushing on to ask for more. The episode closes with a guided imaginative prayer exercise, helping listeners picture themselves sitting with Jesus and personally telling Him what they are thankful for.
