Either you control your emotions or your emotions control you. And with the latter, the consequences could be life altering. Don't allow your emotions to make you lose a good situation.
Acting out of emotion can cause you to lose out on opportunities, get you in situations you can't easily get out of, and so much more. Oftentimes not being in control of your emotions can be seen as a sign of weakness. Finding ways to better communicate your emotions can save you from a lot of lost opportunities and even save certain relationships. Going to therapy to learn healthy ways to release the emotions you may have bottled up inside of you can be incredibly helpful. Talking to a therapist allows you to release your emotions to someone who isn't biased and forces you to peel back all of the layers you pile onto your issues. And know that just like dating, the first one you find might not be the one – keep going until you find the one that works best for you.
