Keys and key signatures, scales and chords can be intimidating for some pianists. There are no sharps or flats in C major. There is no key signature for C major; you may print scales with or without key signatures. What about chords? Once you see how key signatures of six flats or five sharps are laid out in the case of G-Flat and B, respectively, it may appear cluttered and difficult to read.
