Does setting boundaries come easy to you or do you feel it’s an ongoing challenge? When we lack boundaries it may feel like we end up living our lives for other people, and in the process, we betray ourselves. Unable to mentally and emotionally deal with the results of situations we find ourselves in, we may choose to tune out in the form of disassociation, drugs, alcohol and/or whatever other type(s) of distractions we choose.
In this episode I get personal as I delve into my journey of becoming a yoga teacher, as well as my journey to finding sobriety once and for all. I talk about the art of learning to say no, and how setting boundaries led to the sacred union within myself.
I read an excerpt from the book Tufti, the Priestess by Vadim Zealand where he talks about shifting our “mannequin” and writing the movies of our lives. He also discusses embracing our uniqueness which just so happens to be our biggest super power. We are irreplaceable and unduplicatable. It is when we accept and embrace who we are that we allow others to genuinely love us for all the things that make us unique.
To close the show I offer up a guided breathwork to activate the our central channel and heart center.
Thank you so much for listening in!
With love, xx, Amy
Side note...8am classes are in fact not THAT early for me now; but definitely were as I was a bartender at the time I was getting sober. Go figure.
