Every day I'm learning to slow down, which means surrendering to the present. I'm allowing myself to open up and feel again. I've been so closed off these past 2 years focusing on school and minimizing distractions that I've been so numb. I had a bad habit of assuming potential relationships and friendships that I never pursued. Learning to surrender to the present means risking the feeling of pain again. Pain is inevitable. I've come to terms with that, so I'm choosing to let go and surrender.
