20 years ago, when I was just starting my careers, my boss announced that a special visitor was coming to our office to present a report.
"There are three top consultants for international education in Australia" he told me, "There's Melissa Bank, Alan Olsen and..."
...and then there's today's guest, Rob Lawrence.
Rob has worked on countless projects across a wide range of organisations, both onshore and offshore, and covering both domestic and international education.
We start off talking about Rob's unexpected arrival in Australian international education and chat through some of his most interesting projects of the past couple of decades. Rob also gives his take on what students are looking for right now, and what institutions are going to have to do to thrive in a rapidly changing education landscape.
There are few people in Australian international ed who are as connected to both student sentiment and institutional strategic imperative, which I think you'll find makes for a fascinating conversation. So please enjoy this conversation with one of the Grandmasters of Australian international ed, Rob Lawrence.
Global Horizons is a production of The Global Society, Australia's Learning Abroad Support Company.
We are incredibly proud to be the OFFICIAL podcast of the AIEC Australian International Education Conference... registrations are open now!
