Legacy: what people remember when you’re GONE -

Benjamin Franklin said, “If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead, either

write something worth reading or do something worth writing.” 

“E”: ENCOURAGE

Psalm 85:10 “Mercy and truth have met TOGETHER”

Mercy: compassion or forgiveness when it is within one's power to punish or harm.

Tony Cooke said, “The right word spoken in the right spirit at the right time can penetrate a

person’s isolation, drive out the darkness, and change his life forever.”

Ruth 1:16-17 [NLT] Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my

people, and your God will be my God.  17  Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May

the LORD punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!”

Legacy: (another definition of legacy) It's A GIFT that is passed down through generations: money,

property or even STORIES

Psalm 78:4 [TPT] We’ve heard true STORIES from our fathers about our rich heritage. We

will continue to tell our children and not hide from the rising generation the great marvels of our

God— his miracles and power that have brought us all this far.

which ordinary people rise to meet.”

“Y”: YOU

Ultimately “YOU” are the one [it will be YOUR CHOICE] that will LEAVE an IMPACT or EMPTINESS

for those who follow AFTER you …

Ruth 4:13-16 [MSG] The town women said to Naomi, “Blessed be GOD! He didn’t leave you

without family to carry on your life. May this baby grow up to be famous in Israel! He’ll make you

young again! He’ll take care of you in old age. And this daughter-in-law who has brought him

into the world and loves you so much, why, she’s worth more to you than seven sons!”

hand and foot.
