We are at this moment living on the precipice of something that certainly my generation and the generation before mine have never seen. The current administration has told us just this week to expect shortages. Not just for Christmas but also on essential items and even food. The weeks leading up to the pandemic showed us that America is not immune to shortages. This time it’s not covid itself that has caused the issue but the response to Covid by tyrannical government. So let me as you a question. Are you any better off now then you were in the weeks leading up to covid? If not you still have some time to prepare. How much I don’t know but as of today there is still time. I know that it can seem daunting to start but we as Mormons have been forged in hard times and it’s not beyond us to meet this challenge. Today I will be interviewing an expert that will give the basics and then some to help you start or improve on food storage so you can become ready and be a blessing others.
This is part three on our special in becoming self-reliant. Today you will hear audio from an interview I did over a year ago. At that time I had the opportunity to Interview Carolyn. She is a college educated woman on the subject of nutrition and home economics. She has spent the majority of her adult life practicing the thing we talked about. I can personally attest to the wisdom of the things she teaches. I have used them myself and have found them to be helpful in preparing our food storage. As my wife and I implemented the principles Carolynn taught we were amazed at how quickly our food storage grew. If you take to heart these principles and begin to practice them you won’t feel overwhelmed in getting your food storage together.
At this time I want to give the same disclosure I did on the previous episodes. Now since I was an active member of the LDS Church at the time and am not now I have edit out Carolynn’s last name. I did this because I didn’t want any blowback on her from the LDS Church. When I had conducted this interview (over a year ago) she either knew that I was an active member of the LDS Church or the subject of my Church membership wasn’t discussed. So since my views on and membership status in the LDS Church have changed I want to be extremely clear on this issue since she was gracious enough to talk with me. Carolynn does not hold the same views on the LDS Church as I do. To my knowledge as of the date of this recording she is still an active faithful believing member of the LDS Church. The airing of these previous interviews cannot & should not be viewed as an endorsement of my views on Mormonism or the LDS Church by those people I Carolynn.
Now with that here is the third interview of the three part special on leaving Babylon by being self-reliant.
