Leaving the Jar Behind

Listen Later

Leaving the Jar BehindScripture: John 4:28-29 — 28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, 29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” Reflection:The water jar represented the woman’s daily routine, her survival, and possibly her shame. When she encountered Jesus, her priorities changed — she left the jar behind to share the good news. When we meet Jesus, some things we once thought essential no longer hold us.Prayer:Lord, give me the courage to leave behind what no longer defines me, so that I may run freely to tell others about You. Amen. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
