Born and raised in the Amish culture, Emily Adams came on the show to set the record straight and say that what you see on reality tv is not an accurate representation of the culture.

Emily shares what life is like for women in the culture and how incredibly disempowering it is for young girls.

At 17, Emily wanted out of the culture, jumped out of her sister's window with a 6th-grade education, very little money in her pocket, was shunned by her entire family, and never looked back.
