Hi hi hi! I know its been a minute since I've made a podcast but I'm back... for realz hehe. I did not bring my mic with me to Lebanon so the quality isn’t the best bare with me 🤦🏽♀️…The intention of this episode was to shed light on the ongoing and worsening crisis in Lebanon since 2019. One crucial topic I forgot to mention was the Beirut explosion of August 4, 2020. If you are not aware about what I am talking about, basically 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate was carelessly stored and unattended at the Port of Beirut for several years which eventually erupted. The outcome? 218 people lost their lives, 7,000 were injured and $15 billion in property damage and 300,000 people were left homeless. To better grasp how bad this explosion was Cyprus an island more than 100 miles away was able to feel it. Even more it was around 1/20th of the size of Hiroshima atomic bomb and was named the largest non-nuclear blast in history. I hope that by making this episode I am able to spread awareness of the suffering of the people and corruption done by the government. We all need to pray for a miracle our prayers are more powerful together and we know prayer has the power to change things. The people are losing hope but without hope this life is meaningless. Let’s restore their hope.
"And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to" Romans 5:5
