Life is full of twists and turns. We face unexpected and even unwanted change all the time. In response, some of us live in anxiety and fear, while others work hard to control as much as possible. But what if the uncontrollable and unpredictable nature of life carries an important message for us? Paul says that his life is a reflection of the fact that he is not in charge of his own life. Instead, Paul sees the twists and turns as a reminder that Jesus is leading him and that his role is simply to follow.
