Hout was the National Chartering Director for College Democrats of America and worked on the Clinton campaign but then became disillusioned by the lack of debate or cogent arguments on the left as well as their growing radical ideas. After leaving the party, he received death threats, and yet a unique interaction with Charlie Kirk helped cement his future.
