When choosing a species for a fursona or character, the vast array of real and fictional animals just doesn't suffice for many furries. To solve this, some furries make their own fictional creatures, and allow other members of the furry fandom to use them for their creations as well! On this episode of Furry Explained, we start a new series on furry fandom original species! We'll be taking a deep dive into five species examples, but to start, it's good to define what exactly an original species is in the context of the furry fandom at large.
