Tim Hinterberger is a professor of Developmental Biology in the School of Medical Education at University of Alaska Anchorage, with teaching responsibilities in anatomy and neuroscience and a research program in molecular embryology. He earned his BS, MS, and PhD in biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign. Four years ago, he served as chair of the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol as part of the successful 2014 voter initiative to legalize marijuana in Alaska. His commentary, “Alaska should rethink its approach on marijuana testing,” was recently published in the Anchorage Daily News.
