What is legalism?

What we will learn:

We will show that it is the cross that saves and we are a new creation as a spiritual race.

We will explain the spiritual race is true spiritual Israel not the false Old Testament type.

We will teach the liberty in the spirit.

We will teach about false teaching of legalism that tries to pervert the gospel of the cross.

Cross

Hebrews says that Christ was offered for sin once and for all.  Christ came to remove all consciousness of sin.  Christ is the only sacrifice for sin. (Hebrews 10) 

Paul says that Christ sent me to preach Him crucified.  Paul says that Christ sent me to preach the Gospel lest the cross be made of no effect. (I Corinthians 3)  It is faith in the cross and resurrection of Jesus that we access grace for salvation as a gift of God not of works. 

Philip asked Jesus.  What work must I perform to inherit eternal life?  Jesus says to trust in the one that sent Me and My finished work. (John 6)  When we come to Jesus we cease from our labor for salvation resting in His finished labor.  This is Sabbath Rest. (Hebrews 4)

We are a new creation of spirit as spirit race

We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  Old things passed away and all things are new. (2 Corinthians 5)  It is not I who live, now it is Christ that live in Me. 

The life I live I live unto God.  I am alive to God in Christ.  My life is hidden in God. (Romans 6) 

Circumcision of uncircumcision is not what avails a new creation (Galatians 6)  We are partakers of His divine nature. (I Peter)  We are regenerate of the seed (sperma) of God. 

We are literal children of God in the Literal Son of God.  Our old nature is crucified in His crucifixion cutting away of the flesh through circumcision of Spirit.  (Romans 6; Colossians 2:11)  We are raised with Him in the likeness of His resurrection to the newness of Life. (Romans 6) 

This takes place in spiritual regeneration into the resurrected spiritual body (Spiritual Temple: Mark 2) in the spirit.  Our body has perished and we are His Body in Christ. (Many members of one Body: I Corinthians 12)  We receive the Spirit of God in us when our spirit identifies with His spirit in faith to receive spirit of adoption as children of God. (Romans 8) 

We receive the mind of Christ. (Philippians 2)  God cuts out the heart of stone through the circumcision of heart through the spirit not the letter.  We are now spiritual Jews.  For a Jew is not a Jew on the outward, they are one inwardly. 

The true Jew is the one born of the spirit in Christ through faith as God's true chose people not the Old Testament type. (Romans 2:25)  Not all of Israel is Israel, only those that are of faith in Jesus. (Romans 9:8)

Conclusion:

In Adam all are flesh, In Christ all that come to Him are a spiritual race. (Romans 5; I Corinthians 15)  Those that come to Christ are a new creation of spirit.  We are in His Body, with His mind, His Spirit in us and a new heart.  All things are made new. 

Jesus has cleansed us of all sin and unrighteousness. (I John 1:9-10)  If we would sin, Jesus our advocate is in front of the throne saying continuously in Greek I paid for that sin. (I John 2:1)  He who is born of God does not continue to sin, since He is born of God. (I John 3) 

As Christ was in this world, so are we now in Him. (I John)  Christ made us perfect.
