Obeying is good and all, but why do you do it? Love for God should be what drives us to do what we're called to do. God's kingdom is not a meritocracy, don't beat yourself up (or think too highly of yourself) just based on how you think your performance has been. Love god, love others, and for the sake of those things be obedient.
