Eric Metaxas has done some so much that I will only mention a couple of highlights. He is the NYT #1 bestselling author of Martin Luther: The Man Who Rediscovered God and Changed the World nd other NYT best sellers. He just published Fish Out of Water: A Search for Meaning. It is a wonderful book, and I urge you to read it—whether you know anything about Eric or not. Better writing is hard to find. . It is an extraordinarily well written book, which is funny and filled with what the back cover copy correctly calls “Runyonesque” characters. While hugely entertaining, it is a memoir that looks back at Eric’s childhood, adolescence, college and post-college days that ultimately has him struggling with a lack of purpose and meaning in his life—and how he overcame that.
