He would go on to become a legend in the world of jazz .. After seeing his hero Benny Goodman rise from the stage at the Parmaount Theater, he would go on to play with him extensively in his career .. He has a biography out that details all of his tales and adventures with Miles Davis, Lenny Bruce, Billy Holliday, Charlie Parker, Tommy Dorser and so many others. From his home in LA, we spoke about his book, a life in jazz and the dexterity of a true human creative force fulla humor that will turn 92 on October 13, 2016 ..
