The show we've been waiting a long time to do is finally here! Bill Watts makes a return and is walking tall vs Eddie Gilbert and the Russians, the Sheepherders and their flag bearer brawl in a wild barbwire cage match vs the Fantastics and Terry Taylor. But the meat of the show is the one night 16-man tournament to crown the first ever UWF Heavyweight champion. We don't have all the footage but what we see is highly entertaining; there's great action and plenty of blood by the time it is all over. Pro Wrestling Illustrated comes to life as the "4th" World Championship arrives now!

The traditional big 3 were about to get an update as Bill Watts Mid-South wrestling becomes the UWF in the spring of 1986. This is a magical time as this amazing wrestling makes its way to Winnipeg TV. Explore the connection between the UWF and Winnipeg via the WFWA (Tony Condello) and how their national push benefited wrestling starved fans across the US and Canada. We start with the inaugural episode where things are very much still Mid-South in look and feel. Baby face Ted DiBiase, Doctor Death, the Sheepherders, Duggan and the Fantastics all have a large part to play as our UWF journey begins!

1988 has finally arrived, it’s Saturday Night’s Main Event XIV! Hogan has to shake off his big losses at Survivor Series and the November SNME and face King Kong Bundy in a rematch. Bobby is stepping aside to allow Andre to be in the corner. Strike Force defend their titles against the not so deadly threat of the Bolsheviks and Jake takes on Savage… no not that one… the Samoan kind. Geoff updates us on “Busker Wars” and we have fun with the PWI Top Ten list from December 1987. And finally, we pay tribute to our man Bundy and feature a bonus Tag Team Battle Royal from Winnipeg in 1984 as the AWA presents us with “Boom Boom Bundy”!

It's the set up show for the Saturday Night's Main Event XIV episode! And the last gasps of 1987 WWF wrestling. We track the Million Dollar Man's quest to buy the world title, check in on the Valentine vs Beefcake feud. We'll enjoy the antics of Heenan and Monsoon all to get us to a main event match where Jake the Snake Roberts looks for revenge and the IC strap when he takes on the Honkytonk Man. Plus, I inform Geoff of an important development in wrestling for our show and we have some laughs at the 37th Annual Slammy Awards!
Apologies about the technical glitch that wiped out the last couple of minutes of the show.

Flair has met his match with the talented Barry Windham on the scene, the Road Warriors take a crack at the tag titles, Brad Armstrong rubs elbows with the Horsemen and Lex Luger is making his case to become a member of that elite group. We're back after an extended summer break. We're on the trail to the lesser known "Super Towns on the Superstation" special on TBS in February of 87. This week we focus on the tag titles (World and US Belts) and the arrival of Barry Windham. January 3, 1987 was a special day of wrestling as World Wide delivers one of the best hours of televised wrestling ever. My favourite wrestling song debuts and we get an 8-man tag for the ages. All this plus we kick off the show with some submissions of fantasy Survivor Series teams. Summer may be over but things are heating up at the Legendary Wrestling Obsession podcast!

The WWF was expanding their super-card menu and waging a war on Jim Crockett Promotions at the same time. In 1987 a wrestling fan couldn't have been more excited by the arrival of this new fantasy elimination match classic. We cover the 4 massive matches on the card, take a quick look at Gorilla Monsoon's career, the return of the mailbag and end the show with a super fun "What If" segment where we build an extra Survivor Series Elimination match with the wrestlers under contract at the time who don't compete on the show. We're breaking our own rules of covering a PPV but it was worth it!

Savage is on the hunt for revenge against a pre-main event Bret Hart, WrestleMania II is revisited as Bunda-mania takes a crack at Hogan's World Title and Bam Bam Bigelow makes his SNME debut against Hercules. There's a lot happening in the WWF in the late fall of 87 as Survivor Series is debuting on PPV. These two shows are intentionally kept separate story line wise. All that and some B-Day wishes for Mr Hughes.
