For over a century, Robin Hood has been one of cinema's perennial go-to characters for a period epic - or a parody. In 2010, director Ridley Scott tried his hand at a re-telling of the story of the outlaw of Sherwood Forest with the appropriately-if-unimaginatively titled Robin Hood.
