Steven is joined by Leigh Evans to discuss the United Kingdom post Brexit and the overlapping issues that face both Australia and the UK.
Leigh is Chairman and Founder of Facts4EU.Org, the most prolific researcher and publisher of Brexit facts in the world for the last eight years. He’s also Chairman of CIBUK – the Campaign for an Independent Britain. CIBUK is a non-party political campaigning organisation of people from all walks of life. It’s the UK’s longest running membership organisation for freedom, democracy and independence, founded in 1969. Its Patrons include senior politicians and Members of the House of Lords. For the last 55 years the CIBUK has made a significant contribution in campaigning on issues important to the majority of the UK’s population, and in securing the UK’s exit from the European Union.
Outside of politics, Leigh was a Founder and Director of several successful companies and was Non-Executive Director of many others, including a PLC. He continues to be active in business as a Company Director.
Leigh has been a Life Fellow of the RSA since 1993, following his nomination by Council. He was formerly Vice-Chairman of the Brexit Coalition and is currently Vice-Chairman of a City think tank as well as being Chairman of the China Analysis Group. He speaks privately every week to senior MPs and Peers about all issues relating to the UK’s place in the world.
Finally, with his surviving family being Australian, from Brisbane to Melbourne, he’s a firm believer in restoring the importance of the traditional values which connect our two great countries.
