Lenka Konopasek is a professional artist originally from the Czech Republic as well as a university teacher. Even though she works in several media, she prefers to be labeled as an artist. She creates cascading paper sculptures for which she painstakingly cuts and glues strips of paper together. Lenka is interested in global warming and what is left behind after an experience like a hurricane or fire. Lenka resides in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband and thirteen year-old son.
