In honor of the sākihiwē festival, which celebrates its 10thedition this summer with three days of music and culture featuring Indigenous-identifying performers from many nations, we speak with two of the festival's performers - Anishinaabe MC/Singer/Songwriter Leonard Sumner and Anishinaabe DJ and Producer Boogey The Beat!
The festival runs June 14 to 16 on Treaty One Territory, in the city of Winnipeg and features more than 20 artists from territories across Turtle Island, including many local artists.
