Les is a former English professional footballer, best known by his nickname "Sir Les," who played as a striker for clubs like Queens Park Rangers, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur. After retiring from playing in 2006, he has worked as a football pundit, analyst, and coach, most recently serving as director of football operations at QPR before stepping down in 2023. He was a member of the England squads for the 1996 UEFA European Championships and the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
