Less Talking, More Running

Michelle and Paul debate over various running-related topics, with Corey awarding points for who constructs the best arguments. This may seem serious, but this episode was far from it with plenty of laughter shared and points given for dubious reasons.

Pete Richardson, the current parkrun Regional Support Ambassador for the North East and a UKA Event Adjudicator, joins Corey, Paul and Michelle for the latest episode of 'Less Talking, More Running'. Pete talks about how he got into running, his various volunteering roles and his love for parkrun.

Sabrina is one of the most well-known British ultra-runners, winning races such as the Grand Tour of Skiddaw, Lakeland 100 and the Montona Spine Fusion. In 2020 she also becoming the first women to complete the Lake District's Wainwrights non-stop. Sabrina joins Corey, Paul and Michelle to talk about her achievements, balancing training while working as a vet and her fuelling strategy while completing an ultra.

Corey and Paul are joined by John Flinn and Jack Petroczy from John Flinn Physiotherapy who talk about common running injuries, how they treat them and also the impact of COVID19 on physical health.

To start of the new season we were delighted to be joined by Kieran Walker and Ben Palmer of North East Project, who told their story of the growth of NEP through the Coronavirus pandemic and what their aspirations are for the future.

Physiotherapist Ryan Pearson and sports therapist Andrew Sedgwick highlight key injury risk factors, what to include in your training plan other than 'miles, miles, miles', hitting the training load 'sweet spot' and the most efficient recovery methods.

For the final episode of season one, Corey and Paul talk all things cross-country (XC), including what you may experience differently to road running and some of the benefits because of it.

Corey Horn and new co-host Richard Campbell are joined by Michaela Kerr and Kelly Tamar to tell us why running can be very beneficial in terms of both our physical and mental health. We also discuss the fun social aspects of running, especially when part of a club.

Local run director, Tracey Pickering joins us to talk all things parkrun. We chat about tourism, terminology and our favourite memories whilst participating or volunteering in parkrun. Paul Dalton also deviates into the 'dark web' where you can find unusual parkrun challenges.

Sue Milburn, John and Tracey Surtees talk about their favourite races and the ones they find most challenging but rewarding. Plenty of fun was had with this episode as race stories were shared!
