Exploring the Bible with Mel Barror

Lesson #1 – Deuteronomy

Listen Later

Deuteronomy is one of the most interesting books of the Old Testament, and yet, it is one of the most miss-understood books. It was not written as history, as were the other early books, but rather as commentary about the 7th century B.C. to remind the Jewish people of that later period to look back to their beginnings and how God saved them time and time again, and yet, they have strayed from their God. Using events from their past history, the writers of Deuteronomy point out how their people have gone wrong and what they should do to correct it. This is brought out clearly in Chapter 32.
