Judaism is a very interesting faith. It has had many changes throughout its early history and down throughout the years beginning with Abraham, then with Moses, continuing with King David, the Babylonian captivity, etc. Its connection with Christianity came along after Christ when many people came into Christianity and brought many of their beliefs and customs with them. That is why we have many parts of Jewish prayers within Christian prayers and ceremonies, in particular the Psalms and the Wisdom Books. After listening to the following lessons, you will hopefully get a better understanding of the beginnings of Judaism and how Christians owe a debt of gratitude to the Jewish faith, which could be called the roots of Christianity and much of its prayer life.
