In today’s soul-centered solo episode, I teach Lesson 7 from A Course in Miracles — "I see only the past" — and open the door to a metaphysical truth that quietly governs our experience of reality:We don’t see the present. We see our interpretations of it.
Let’s break that down, both spiritually and neurologically:
From a metaphysical lens — especially in teachings like ACIM, Vedanta, and Theosophy — what we perceive is a projection of the mind, not the truth of the now. Our eyes report to the brain, but our brain reports to our beliefs. That means we’re often seeing patterns from the past, not possibilities of the present.
Studies in cognitive neuroscience show that perception is predictive, not reactive. The brain makes meaning based on prior experiences and memory, constructing your “reality” milliseconds before your conscious mind registers it. (Source: Dr. Anil Seth, University of Sussex)
In other words? You're seeing your conditioning — not the world.
So when ACIM tells us "I see only the past", it’s not just poetic woowoo. It’s scientifically and spiritually accurate.
And this is where the miracle enters:If perception is a choice (not a fact), then love can rewrite what we see.
This lesson is also deeply connected to the non-dual concept of time. Many mystics, from Eckhart Tolle to ancient Hermetic teachings, agree: the past is not “behind” us — it’s within us. Stored in the body. Held in the nervous system. Filtered through the chakras. Projected into the world.
So what happens when we release our grip on the past?*Time collapses. (Time travel, astral travel is possible)*Presence opens.*And the veil of misperception lifts. (In fact, the veil disappears entirely. I was at a bonfire with a friend and innocently drank a relaxing tea from Africa called Yohimbe bark. 20 minutes later, the familiar backyard bonfire reality I knew ripped open, and I went into an entirely different dimension - it felt like I was there for a lifetime and yet, in this time and space reality it was minutes. I do not remember what I saw, or what was told to me in that dimension, I just know that it was an experience that my mind was capable of accessing in order to receive information for this earth plane - for this time and space reality. The knowings from that dimension will be revealed to me here soon enough - perhaps in the form of a deja vu, or perhaps in the future. Once you understand how to bend time, well then… you know how to bend time. I am still waiting for the elders of these sacred lineages and revelations to show me the way…
For 1:1 play with me, please message me, or reach out. Let’s connect! My main focus is kundalini, tantra, sacred sexuality, grief rituals, anger release exercises and somatic vocal alchemization… After this meditation, I am guided to open up a few sessions for a select group of people to lead in the following areas:
🧘🏽♀️ I guide you in a gentle reorientation from projection to presence🧠 I weave in psychological + spiritual truths about perception💔 Somatically release trauma, memory, and ways our nervous system clings to what hurt us — until we look again with love.
This is a devotional practice of vision, of forgiveness, of choosing the present. And that is the first step in miracle-mindedness.
