Thanks to everyone who tuned into my live conversation with Frederic Poag last night about the future of the Democratic Party. We didn’t just address the problems — we also talked about solutions.

I’ve been asked why I focus so much on the Democrats, rather than exclusively pointing out the failures of the Trump Administration. The answer is simple: you can’t beat somebody with nobody. And right now, Democratic leaders are not showing up to beat Trump at every turn. Until they do, Democrats will not be competitive longterm and we will not be able to restore our constitutional republic and inoculate it from any future assaults by whichever authoritarian the GOP throws our way next.
