So, here’s what I’ve learnt from seasons of transition – leaving jobs, starting new ones, getting married, having babies, loosing babies, sending kids to school:
Give it time.
Give your season time to ruminate and marinate and seep into the layers of your soul. Try it on for size and let it blend into the curves and creases. Give it time to break in, like Dr Martens fresh out the box. Give it time to feel familiar, to feel safe – even if it’s hard.
Don’t rush it or force it or expect it to be anything that it’s not meant to be. Give it room. Give it space. Give it grace. Give it time.
