This week is a real treat, Kirsty Lewis from the School Of Facilitation is a wonderful facilitator who really understands the power of clarifying your perception. We have utilised the Eye of Perception video from the LFTR LinkedIn page as background to talk about what happens next post COVID 19 and how leaders can help their teams return to work. Our focus is around the perception of those who were furloughed and those who stayed at work. Kirsty and I talk through how you can facilitate a session that allows everyone the space to open up so that an understanding is formed about how the different situations panned out for the individuals. We hope you enjoy it and we have included a PDF on our LinkedIn page that supports you if you do want to run a session.
Sharing her thoughts on coaching supervision, Rachel discusses what supervision is (and isn't), the benefits and much more. This is an excellent podcast delving into the intricacies of why coaching supervision is necessary for any coach to have. Rachel has her own company Coach In Nature and is starting her own coaching supervision practice. Contact her through her website https://www.coachinnature.co.uk/
This week is a beauty, Tim Artus and Terry Neild discuss how we often seek to legitimise the decisions we want to make by constructing the problem to best support our decisions. If you are a manager/leader then this is a must-listen. Throughout the podcast, we explore how we should look at a problem through Keith Grint's model and how we should react depending on the type of problem we face.
A great episode recorded with Nick Smith from Square Peg Coaching. We discuss the intricacies of Patrick Lencioni's 5 Dysfunctions of a Team and how he has enabled his client's to work through the different levels through experiential learning. Here Andy Kaye from Andy Kaye Learning and Development talks about how he uses the Goal, Reality, Options, Will/Way Forward coaching model. He explains why he uses it and why it creates great results for his coaching clients. If you want to see his video then please watch in on the Lessons From The Living Room LinkedIn page.
In this first Lesson From The Living Room, Leadership Coach Terry Neild Pg Cert talks about how to go from drama to empowerment, utilising the empowerment dynamic. Andy Kaye will ask the questions that enables Terry to share his personal experience, and discuss how the empowerment dynamic triangle enables you to look at issues, acknowledge them and do something about them.
Here we introduce Colin Litherland, Terry Neild and Andy Kaye as the 3 leadership coaches and facilitators who want to give back to the listeners. Colin created the idea when Covis-19 hit the UK with such a devastating effect on the training and education industries. He wondered how he could still influence people to the wonders of leadership and human skills whilst maintaining his delivery skills and out of that he created Lessons From The Living Room. Each week a new video will appear on LinkedIn, delivered by different facilitators. The podcast gives the opportunity to better understand the thought-processes behind the videos that feature on the LinkedIn page. Terry, Colin and Andy will ask questions to the facilitator about how they have utilised the models in real-life situations. This is not about self-promotion, it is about giving the audience the clarity to use the models as they see fit.
We hope you enjoy and get something from each episode.
Thanks,
Colin, Terry, and Andy
