This has been a time of personal growth, vision, and returning back to what really matters in life. I was already on the path of unplugging and living a more minimal life, this pandemic only caused me to go deeper. I sat down for a candid conversation about what I learned during the crazy year of 2020.
We rarely grow in seasons of comfort, it's in the seasons of uncertainty that I have progressed the most in life. This pandemic has caused deep financial, mental, relational, and spiritual struggles for people all around the world. I don't pretend to have found the answer to fix everything, but I believe slowing down to look inward and reflect surely doesn't hurt things. As an entrepreneur and creator, it's easy to feel crippled during a time of so much fear and uncertainty.
I have learned that most great art comes from broken people who are struggling. I've found that my best response to all of the fear and struggle is to keep creating anyway. Although certain things in the world may not change for a while, I'm choosing to move forward. It has not been a perfect season, but I do believe it was a necessary one. We are getting stronger, wiser and we will come out of it better together!
