What can we learn from mistakes made during projects implementation? On the 5th episode of The Digital Corner, Carlos is back again as the host, to ask Slim about how to learn from our mistakes.

The good news is that all mistakes that are made in a project can be in a way, or another extrapolated to other IT projects.

Mistake #1: Not explaining well enough to your clients the implications of the projects on different business-related decisions.

You need to make sure that your client is understanding 100% what she/he’s singing on (from the design phase).

Slim presented two specific examples from his own experience in retail forecasting and planning.

Mistake #2: Not giving bad news to the client. There is a certain fear from consultants from telling the truth to the client.

Being upfront will create success. Don’t hide problems under the rock.

Carlos mentioned that he’s seeing this a lot and you should fight it by mastering the art of risk management.
