Ida left behind a trail of destruction unlike many others, joining the ranks of the strongest hurricanes to hit the U.S. mainland: knocking out New Orleans' power, ripping the roofs off houses, and not to mention reversing the flow of the Mississippi River. We ventured into Ida's sustained winds of 150 mph to learn more about the storm's destructive effects.
