Imagine you holding on tightly to a rope. At the other end of the rope are your afflictions. Put a face to the pain. Who do you see? Now ask yourself, why are you still holding on to them? Letting go of that rope gives you the freedom to live fully. Holding on will keep you rooted in hopelessness, anger, or defeat. Let it go. Let them go and embrace hope and joy again.
