This Christmas season will be filled with many magnificent images of Jesus and his mother, Mary. While society likes to portray Mary as this divine saint with a halo hovering over her head, the truth is, she was very much an ordinary girl; an obscure figure surprised to hear herself called "Blessed and Highly Favored" by the Lord. In Mary, we discover that we don't have to be a top level executive or the "perfect Christian" in order to be favored by God. Our favor comes not from who we are, but WHOSE we are.
