Welcome to Album Clash! Concluding our first 'ALBUM CLASH: CIVIL WAR' clash this week, Kev picks up where Tim left off on our last pod by taking us through the last Beatles album to be recorded and the magic that was 'Abbey Road'.
As might be expected, the story behind the Fab Four's last hurrah is an interesting one and we get into all of the stuff the fans want to hear about - commercial disputes, legal battles, and the ultimate dissolution of the band.
There's also the small matter of one of the most beloved albums of all time, and the songwriting and production that led to some of the band's most enduring music.
It's Kev's pick for 'video kills the radio star' this week, and he makes clear his disdain for 'by the numbers' filmmaking by introducing a video that annoyed him intensely.
It's also Kev's choice for album of the pod, wherein he explains how idly thumbing through this year's Record Store Day offerings led him to discover a hitherto unheard delight.
As is customary we get down to scoring our two albums to see which of 'Let it Be' and 'Abbey Road' is better, before Tim reveals the next artist to endure a CIVIL WAR…
