What is peace?

  • Is the heart of man in a reclining position
  • Is Jesus asleep in a boat while the storm rages and the disciples panic
  • Is Paul thankful for the privilege to be a witness in chains
  • Is total surrender to the sovereignty of God and then total enjoyment of the life of God
  • Is a quiet prayer when the phone rings late at night
    • Is grace when your authority is being challenged
      • Is a relaxed Spirit when the baby is sick, the car won't start and your husband has to work late
      • Is rest when there are no visible fruits to your ministry
      • It is a gentle response to a harsh accusation. It is a soft - thank you Lord when the cheque doesn't come in the morning mail
      • It is the absence of panic in a crisis. It is a river that flows through a Christian's heart watering His garden of hope while choking out the weeds of fear
